Puzzlium 1.8: Dot Solitaire, local rank, preview in
creating |
|
|
|
October 13, 2014 - San Jose, US - Solve
and create one of the oldest classic puzzle
games—DOT SOLITAIRE. The object is to remove all
dots but one. A dot is removed after an adjacent dot
jumped over it.
New features:
• Country local rank—compete with other solvers and
creators in Your Country. Now, when you solve or
create a puzzle—you compete in both Your Country and
World leaderboards.
• Preview a created puzzle—before publishing your
new puzzle you can take a look how it will be seen
and played by other solvers. The Preview option
allows you to give your newly created puzzle the
final touch before publishing.
• Now Puzzlium will notify you automatically when a
new update is available on the App Store.
Improvements:
• Fixed bugs in TANGRAM, TETROMINO, and WIRE
TANGRAM: a separate piece in a created puzzle;
overlapped pieces; shifting and rotating pieces and
destroyed shape after the device turn.
• Fixed bugs in SLIDE AWAY. |

you've published, and what Concept filter you've
chosen.

publishing ELASTIC puzzles.
• Fixed crash when sharing a puzzle under iOS 8.

|
|
September 11, 2014 - San Jose, US - Play
and create HEXA CUT—a new puzzle game! The object is
to divide shapes, built from hexagons, into
identical parts.
Improvements in:
• CONNECTIONS—lines drawing is better; the
intermediate solving state is saving when you close
the puzzle.
• SUDOKU—hints in the Create mode are more advanced;
fixed the bug which sometimes causes publishing of
broken puzzles.
• ELASTIC—optimized solving of the complex puzzles.
• CUT BY PAINTING—draw and remove color cells using
the same tool; now hints just help in the solving
process, instead of direct solving the entire
puzzle; fixed the bug which caused accepting broken
solutions.
HINTS are working better in all puzzle games. We've
improved Stars and Experience algorithms connected
with hints used while solving puzzles. Each hint now
costs 1 star.

July 3, 2014 - Andrew Tropeano, News Watch
- while it’s important to get a good sweat at the
gym, it’s equally important to exercise your brain.
And an easy and fun way to do that is with puzzles.
And since we’re talking apps, I’d recommend
Puzzlium. It’s a free iOS app with thousands of
puzzles created by other users. |

The New York Times featured Puzzlium |
|
June 26, 2014 - Deb Amlen, The New York Times
- I like it for a few reasons: the challenges start
out easy, but increase in difficulty as you master
them, there’s a competitive play aspect to it where
you can rise in the rankings, and, best of all in my
opinion, you can create and publish your own puzzles
for people to enjoy. It’s a fun way to pass the time
and keep your brain sharp. |

May 20, 2014 - Jennifer Allen, 148apps.com
- “Simple yet not necessarily easy” appears to be
Puzzlium‘s motto. A unique puzzle-based social
network, the game offers players the ability to
create their own puzzles and share them with others,
and vice versa. It’s a cool concept and one that
works well in ensuring that there’s always plenty of
content to enjoy. |
